Haven't ridden there in a bit but hike there often. The equestrian campgrounds have been updated to have water now. The trails are well-groomed, and the trail maps are easy to read. There's lots of flat trails, some more challenging trails with hills, and multiple stream crossings. There's also an equestrian day use area with hitching posts. Trails are well-marked for the most part. Most trails are dirt or sand. There are some rocks on some of the hills, but overall, not rocky.

They should have installed water at the campgrounds by this time - when I was there, they had the pumps but didn't have everything hooked up. Nice campgrounds, and bugs weren't too bad when we were there. The trails are very nice and are great for any level of rider. There's a lot of water crossings and a few hills, but overall, it's a very relaxing ride. Trails are well marked and are easy to get around. There's also access to toilets around the trails if you get into other campgrounds.

Pretty, well marked trails with map. Nice large campsites with electric. Can water horses at river close to camp. Manure pits with wheelbarrow & forks throughout campground. 2 pit toilets on each end of campground. Reserve site as it fills up fast. Fire ring, picnic table. Hitching rail. No water hydrant.

The trails are not very difficult, good place for a beginner. At the day use area there are no hitching. campground is big and has hitching rails. good place to ride on a nice early november day since iowa trails are open longer then the MN trails.
